Since September 2023, the national minimum wage in Argentina remained fixed at €310.8 per month, that is 3,730 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Argentinian pesos, which is the official currency in Argentina, we can see that, this year, it was 118,000 Argentinian pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 5,500 Argentinian pesos per month from the previous year, 4.89%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2023 which was 94.8%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Argentina is in 60 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 120 of the list.
