In 2015 Zambia public debt was 11,115 million euros 12,332 million dollars, has increased 4,2533,215 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 56.28% of Zambia GDP, a 22.67 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 33.61% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Zambia debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 1,118 million euros 1,391 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 16.72%.
According to the last data point published, Zambia per capita debt in 2015 was 686 euros736 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 437 euros 580 dollars, afterwards rising by 249 euros156 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 93 euros116 dollars .
The position of Zambia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 113 in the list of debt to GDP and 53 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
