In 2014 Uruguay public debt was 26,448 million euros 35,136 million dollars, has increased 378513 million since 2013.
This amount means that the debt in 2014 reached 61.4% of Uruguay GDP, a 1.22 percentage point rise from 2013, when it was 60.18% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Uruguay debt. It has risen since 2004 in global debt terms, when it was 10,314 million euros 12,830 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 93.55%.
According to the last data point published, Uruguay per capita debt in 2014 was 7,770 euros10,324 dollars per inhabitant. In 2013 it was 7,686 euros 10,207 dollars, afterwards rising by 84 euros117 dollars, and if we again check 2004 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,124 euros3,884 dollars .
The position of Uruguay, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2014 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 123 in the list of debt to GDP and 144 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
