In 2016 Namibia public debt was 4,145 million euros 4,588 million dollars, has decreased 64 82 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 42.07% of Namibia GDP, a 2.13 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 39.94% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Namibia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 1,605 million euros 2,015 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 24.39%.
According to the last data point published, Namibia per capita debt in 2016 was 1,672 euros1,742 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 1,735 euros 1,893 dollars, afterwards dropping by 63 euros 151dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 806 euros978 dollars .
The position of Namibia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 76 in the list of debt to GDP and 87 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
