In 2015 Jamaica public debt was 15,639 million euros 17,352 million dollars, has increased 1,0941,971 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 120.39% of Jamaica GDP, a 16.36 percentage point fall from 2014, when it was 136.75% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jamaica debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 11,016 million euros 13,705 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 119.26%.
According to the last data point published, Jamaica per capita debt in 2015 was 5,558 euros6,083 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 5,197 euros 6,773 dollars, afterwards rising by 361 euros690 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 4,108 euros4,993 dollars .
The position of Jamaica, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 177 in the list of debt to GDP and 135 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
