In 2022 Jamaica public debt was 13,386 million euros14,107 million dollars, has increased 1,114417 million since 2021.
This amount means that the debt in 2022 reached 84.12% of Jamaica GDP, a 10.09 percentage point fall from 2021, when it was 94.21% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jamaica debt. It has gone down since 2012 in global debt terms, when it was 14,482 million euros 18,618 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 123.7%.
According to the last data point published, Jamaica per capita debt in 2022 was 4,885 euros5,149 dollars per inhabitant. In 2021 it was 4,479 euros 5,301 dollars, afterwards rising by 406 euros152 dollars, and if we again check 2012 we can see that then the debt per person was 5,344 euros6,870 dollars .
The position of Jamaica, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2022 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 149 in the list of debt to GDP and 122 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
