In 2020 Jamaica public debt was 13,159 million euros15,030 million dollars, has decreased 21954 million since 2019.
This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 107.42% of Jamaica GDP, a 13.16 percentage point rise from 2019, when it was 94.26% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jamaica debt. It has gone down since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 14,320 million euros 18,984 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 141.4%.
According to the last data point published, Jamaica per capita debt in 2020 was 4,813 euros5,497 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 4,893 euros 5,478 dollars, afterwards dropping by 80 euros 19dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 5,311 euros7,041 dollars .
The position of Jamaica, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2020 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 164 in the list of debt to GDP and 124 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
