In 2015 Guatemala public debt was 13,911 million euros 15,434 million dollars, has increased 3,1801,178 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 24.2% of Guatemala GDP, a 0.08 percentage point fall from 2014, when it was 24.28% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Guatemala debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 4,534 million euros 5,641 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 20.76%.
According to the last data point published, Guatemala per capita debt in 2015 was 851 euros944 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 670 euros 890 dollars, afterwards rising by 181 euros54 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 357 euros444 dollars .
The position of Guatemala, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 26 in the list of debt to GDP and 59 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
