In 2016 Denmark public debt was 104,673 million euros 115,862 million dollars, has decreased 2,774 3,350 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 37.8% of Denmark GDP, a 2.6 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 40.4% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Denmark debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 71,183 million euros 89,378 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 31.5%.
According to the last data point published, Denmark per capita debt in 2016 was 18,341 euros21,430 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 18,826 euros 21,508 dollars, afterwards dropping by 485 euros 78dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 13,068 euros16,419 dollars .
The position of Denmark, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 66 in the list of debt to GDP and 160 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
