In 2016 Botswana public debt was 1,895 million euros 2,098 million dollars, has decreased 231 261 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 13.89% of Botswana GDP, a 1.97 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 15.86% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Botswana debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 521 million euros 655 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 6.23%.
