In 2016 Argentina public debt was 252,555 million euros 279,553 million dollars, has decreased 43,634 49,068 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 51.27% of Argentina GDP, a 0.76 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 52.03% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Argentina debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 108,730 million euros 136,521 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 58.62%.
According to the last data point published, Argentina per capita debt in 2016 was 5,817 euros6,437 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 6,822 euros 7,570 dollars, afterwards dropping by 1,005 euros 1,133dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,790 euros3,503 dollars .
The position of Argentina, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 101 in the list of debt to GDP and 137 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
