RTI Rating South Africa

The transparency law of South Africa has been in force since 2000 and with it has earned 119 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score South Africa is ranked 14, as its transparency law adequately guarantees access to information, when compared with other countries.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
