Suicides grow in Tajikistan

By 2015, suicides in Tajikistan increased by 11 people to at 338 suicides

In Tajikistan there were 3.96 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.51 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 338 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 248 were men suicides and 90 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 5.78 per 100,000 men and for women 2.13 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Tajikistan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 126 homicides in Tajikistan, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.7 suicides.
