In 2015 around 76 suicides occurred in Fiji, 1 less than in 2014.
Fiji reported 8.76 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.51 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 76 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 58 were men suicides and 18 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 12.54 per 100,000 men and for women 3.97 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Fiji suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 20 homicides in Fiji, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 3.8 suicides.
