The minimum wage goes up in Switzerland

In 2022, the national minimum wage in Switzerland remained fixed at €3,901.2 per month, that is 46,814 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Swiss francs, which is the official currency in Switzerland, we can see that, this year, it was 4,030.4 Swiss francs and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 22.5 Swiss francs per month from the previous year, 0.56%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2021 which was 1.5%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
