If we look at the minimum salary in Fijian dollars, which is the official currency in Fiji, we can see that, this year, it was 819.5 Fijian dollars and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 137.3 Fijian dollars per month from the previous year, 20.13%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2021 which was 3%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
