South Africa rises its interest rates

South Africa has increased its interest rates by 0.25 percentage points, from 6.75% to an annual rate of 7.00%.

This change is the first to have taken place since on January29th 2016, when the Central Bank increasedinterest rates by 0.25 percentage points to 6.75%.
