Kyrgyzstan - Religions

Islam, with 77.02% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 95%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Kyrgyzstan population, has dropped to 95%. As to Islam it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 80.02% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 77.02% follow it.

The Kyrgyzstan’s second-largest religion is Christianity, accounts for about 10.07% of the population.
