If we look at the minimum salary in Turkish liras, which is the official currency in Turkey, we can see that, this year, it was 1,647 Turkish liras and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 373 Turkish liras per month from the previous year, 29.28%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2015 which was 8.8%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
