In 2015 Kenya public debt was 30,058 million euros 33,349 million dollars, has increased 7,5663,469 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 52.42% of Kenya GDP, a 3.82 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 48.6% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Kenya debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 8,150 million euros 10,139 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 48.34%.
According to the last data point published, Kenya per capita debt in 2015 was 636 euros706 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 489 euros 649 dollars, afterwards rising by 147 euros57 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 241 euros300 dollars .
The position of Kenya, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 104 in the list of debt to GDP and 48 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
