In 2022 Serbia public debt was 32,260 million euros33,999 million dollars, has increased 2,4241,312 million since 2021.
This amount means that the debt in 2022 reached 53.54% of Serbia GDP, a 2.72 percentage point fall from 2021, when it was 56.26% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Serbia debt. It has risen since 2012 in global debt terms, when it was 18,150 million euros 23,334 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 53.87%.
According to the last data point published, Serbia per capita debt in 2022 was 4,841 euros5,101 dollars per inhabitant. In 2021 it was 4,389 euros 5,195 dollars, afterwards rising by 452 euros94 dollars, and if we again check 2012 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,527 euros3,249 dollars .
The position of Serbia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2022 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 90 in the list of debt to GDP and 119 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
