The minimum wage goes up in Poland

In 2001, the national minimum wage in Poland remained fixed at €197.4 per month, that is 2,369 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Polish zlotys, which is the official currency in Poland, we can see that, this year, it was 760 Polish zlotys and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 60 Polish zlotys per month from the previous year, 8.57%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2000 which was 8.5%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
