The national minimum wage increase in Czechia

Since June 2000, the national minimum wage in Czechia remained fixed at €124.5 per month, that is 1,494 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Czech Koruna, which is the official currency in Czechia, we can see that, this year, it was 4,500 Czech Koruna and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 500 Czech Koruna per month from the previous year, 12.5%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2000 which was 2.3%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
