In 2016 Tunisia public debt was 23,274 million euros 25,762 million dollars, has increased 1,7181,846 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 61.21% of Tunisia GDP, a 5.78 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 55.43% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Tunisia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 13,129 million euros 16,485 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 47.95%.
According to the last data point published, Tunisia per capita debt in 2016 was 2,041 euros2,259 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 1,912 euros 2,121 dollars, afterwards rising by 129 euros138 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,288 euros1,617 dollars .
The position of Tunisia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 123 in the list of debt to GDP and 91 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
