Debt decreased in Sweden

In 2017 Sweden public debt was 194,607 million euros220,359 million dollars, has decreased 6582,467 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 41.4% of Sweden GDP, a 0.8 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 42.2% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Sweden debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 136,791 million euros 191,476 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 38.9%.

According to the last data point published, Sweden per capita debt in 2017 was 19,229 euros21,774 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 19,536 euros 21,800 dollars, afterwards dropping by 307 euros 26dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 14,896 euros20,851 dollars .

The position of Sweden, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 77 in the list of debt to GDP and 165 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
