This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 66.72% of Saint Lucia GDP, a 0.05 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 66.67% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Saint Lucia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 491 million euros 617 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 52.71%.
According to the last data point published, Saint Lucia per capita debt in 2016 was 5,709 euros6,319 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 5,612 euros 6,227 dollars, afterwards rising by 97 euros92 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,958 euros3,714 dollars .
The position of Saint Lucia, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 133 in the list of debt to GDP and 134 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
