In 2016 Liberia public debt was 839 million euros 928 million dollars, has increased 101109 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 28.3% of Liberia GDP, a 2.53 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 25.77% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Liberia debt. It has gone down since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 3,633 million euros 4,562 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 386.15%.
According to the last data point published, Liberia per capita debt in 2016 was 182 euros201 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 164 euros 182 dollars, afterwards rising by 18 euros19 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,073 euros1,348 dollars .
The position of Liberia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 29 in the list of debt to GDP and 10 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
