In 2019 Liberia public debt was 1,516 million euros1,697 million dollars, has increased 419402 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 55.38% of Liberia GDP, a 15.67 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 39.71% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Liberia debt. It has gone down since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 1,568 million euros 2,187 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 124.78%.
According to the last data point published, Liberia per capita debt in 2019 was 307 euros344 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 228 euros 269 dollars, afterwards rising by 79 euros75 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 447 euros624 dollars .
The position of Liberia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 100 in the list of debt to GDP and 18 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
