Malawi is in 35º place in the ranking of transparency

The transparency law of Malawi has been in force since 2017 and with it has earned 104 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Malawi is now ranked 35 in the transparency ranking formed by 140 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
