Ecuador is at the 82º position of the Global Right to Information Rating

The transparency law of Ecuador has been in force since 2004 and with it has earned 74 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Ecuador is now ranked 82 in the transparency ranking formed by 123 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
