In 2010 around 1,922 suicides occurred in Uzbekistan, 83 more than in 2009. In 2010, on average 5 Uzbeks committed suicide every day.

Uzbekistan reported 6.86 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.89 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 1,922 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 1,343 were men suicides and 580 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.41 per 100,000 men and for women 4.05 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Uzbekistan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 831 homicides in Uzbekistan, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.3 suicides.
