There are 15 suicides per day in Poland

In 1995 occurred 5,499 suicides in Poland. This year, 20 fewer people committed suicide than in 1994. In 1995, on average 15 Poles committed suicide every day.

Poland had 14.2 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.58 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Poland, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 5,499 recorded suicide cases in 1995, 4,562 were men suicides and 937 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 24.3 per 100,000 men and for women 4.7 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Poland suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 853 homicides in Poland, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 6.4 suicides.
