Of the 5,624 recorded suicide cases in 1993, 4,641 were men suicides and 983 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 24.8 per 100,000 men and for women 5 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Poland suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 905 homicides in Poland, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 6.2 suicides.
