Poland had 13.9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.11 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Poland, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.
Of the 5,316 recorded suicide cases in 1991, 4,448 were men suicides and 868 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 23.9 per 100,000 men and for women 4.4 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Poland suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 849 homicides in Poland, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 6.3 suicides.
