In 1992 occurred 199 suicides in Peru. This year, 125 more people committed suicide than in 1991.

Peru had 0.9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.38 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 199 recorded suicide cases in 1992, 124 were men suicides and 75 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 1.1 per 100,000 men and for women 0.6 per 100,000 female.
