By 2011, suicides in Pakistan increased by 16 people to at 3,622 suicides In 2011, on average 10 Pakistanis committed suicide every day.

In Pakistan there were 2 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.82 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Pakistan has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 3,622 recorded suicide cases in 2011, 1,852 were men suicides and 1,770 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 1.81 per 100,000 men and for women 1.83 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Pakistan. However, in Pakistan in 2011 there were there were 13,860 homicides, many more than suicides. There were 3.8 homicides per suicide.
