Libya - Intentional self-harm

In 2012 occurred 411 suicides in Libya. This year, 29 more people committed suicide than in 2011. In Libya, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

Libya had 6.55 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.87 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 411 recorded suicide cases in 2012, 318 were men suicides and 94 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.63 per 100,000 men and for women 3.25 per 100,000 female.
