Libya - Intentional self-harm

In 2011 occurred 382 suicides in Libya. This year, 1 more people committed suicide than in 2010. In Libya, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

Libya had 6.45 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.82 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 382 recorded suicide cases in 2011, 290 were men suicides and 92 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.21 per 100,000 men and for women 3.04 per 100,000 female.
