By 2010, suicides in Libya increased by 26 people to at 381 suicides In Libya, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

In Libya there were 6.31 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.89 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 381 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 287 were men suicides and 94 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.71 per 100,000 men and for women 2.95 per 100,000 female.
