Of the 143 recorded suicide cases in 2012, 92 were men suicides and 51 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 3.59 per 100,000 men and for women 1.94 per 100,000 female.
Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Lebanon. However, in Lebanon in 2012 there were there were 194 homicides, then, homicides are more common than suicides. There were 1.4 homicides per suicide.
