Suicides fell in Kyrgyzstan

By 2010, suicides in Kyrgyzstan increased by 35 people to at 474 suicides In Kyrgyzstan, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

In Kyrgyzstan there were 8.76 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.89 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 474 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 365 were men suicides and 109 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 13.71 per 100,000 men and for women 3.93 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Kyrgyzstan. However, in Kyrgyzstan in 2010 there were there were 909 homicides, and therefore, number of deaths by murder is far greater than people to take their own lives. There were 1.9 homicides per suicide.
