Suicides grow in Kuwait

By 2010, suicides in Kuwait increased by 18 people to at 106 suicides

In Kuwait there were 2.96 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.89 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Kuwait, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 106 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 80 were men suicides and 26 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 4.78 per 100,000 men and for women 2.04 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Kuwait suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 60 homicides in Kuwait, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.8 suicides.
