Kazakhstan has a very high suicide rate

By 2011, suicides in Kazakhstan increased by 201 people to at 4,145 suicides In 2011, on average 11 Kazakhs committed suicide every day.

In Kazakhstan there were 24.86 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 9.82 suicides per 100,000 people.

Kazakhstan has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 4,145 recorded suicide cases in 2011, 3,385 were men suicides and 760 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 42.91 per 100,000 men and for women 8.77 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Kazakhstan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 1,420 homicides in Kazakhstan, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.9 suicides.
