Israel has a low suicide rate

By 1990, suicides in Israel increased by 49 people to at 304 suicides

In Israel there were 6.5 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 14.95 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Israel has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 304 recorded suicide cases in 1990, 220 were men suicides and 84 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.5 per 100,000 men and for women 3.6 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Israel suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 147 homicides in Israel, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.1 suicides.
