In 1993 around 26 suicides occurred in Iceland, 2 less than in 1992.

Iceland reported 9.9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.86 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Iceland, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 26 recorded suicide cases in 1993, 19 were men suicides and 7 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.4 per 100,000 men and for women 5.3 per 100,000 female.
