Number of suicides falls in Iceland

In 1991 occurred 37 suicides in Iceland. This year, 3 fewer people committed suicide than in 1990.

Iceland had 14.4 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.11 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 37 recorded suicide cases in 1991, 29 were men suicides and 8 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 22.4 per 100,000 men and for women 6.2 per 100,000 female.
