Suicides grow in Iceland

By 1990, suicides in Iceland increased by 18 people to at 40 suicides

In Iceland there were 15.7 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 14.95 suicides per 100,000 people.

Iceland, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 40 recorded suicide cases in 1990, 35 were men suicides and 5 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 27.4 per 100,000 men and for women 3.9 per 100,000 female.
