In Germany there were 12.72 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.82 suicides per 100,000 people.
Of the 10,166 recorded suicide cases in 2011, 7,662 were men suicides and 2,504 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 19.64 per 100,000 men and for women 6.11 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Germany suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 738 homicides in Germany, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 13.8 suicides.
