Of the 12,718 recorded suicide cases in 1994, 9,130 were men suicides and 3,588 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 23.1 per 100,000 men and for women 8.6 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Germany suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 1,949 homicides in Germany, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 6.5 suicides.
