Of the 262 recorded suicide cases in 2012, 217 were men suicides and 45 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 12.36 per 100,000 men and for women 2.3 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Georgia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 187 homicides in Georgia, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.4 suicides.
