Finland has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 1,413 recorded suicide cases in 1989, 1,118 were men suicides and 295 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 46.4 per 100,000 men and for women 11.5 per 100,000 female.
