Suicides fell in Estonia

By 2010, suicides in Estonia increased by 46 people to at 223 suicides

In Estonia there were 16.7 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 9.89 suicides per 100,000 people.

Estonia is a country with a high rate of suicide.

Of the 223 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 181 were men suicides and 42 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 29.1 per 100,000 men and for women 5.9 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Estonia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 70 homicides in Estonia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 3.2 suicides.
